At about 3:37 PM on Monday, March 23, 2026, officers assigned to District C-6 (South Boston) responded to a radio call for a removal at 8 Allstate Road (Panera Bread) in Dorchester.
It should be noted that in 2026, officers have responded to more than fifteen radio calls for the removal of juveniles at the Panera restaurant. Multiple attempts to resolve the issue have been made by district officers as well as the Boston Police School Unit to no avail.
Upon arrival, officers spoke with the manager who identified a group of teenagers causing a disturbance and were asked to leave the location, which they refused. Officers approached the group and notified them that the staff wanted them to leave the premise immediately. The group left the restaurant and were notified that they were not permitted to re-enter or they would be trespassing. As officers began to pull away, they observed the group walk into the restaurant through the front doors. It should be noted that this group was removed earlier in the day as well.
Officers returned to the restaurant and notified the group that at this time, they were being detained. One of the females in the group stood up and shoved an officer. As additional officers attempted to take the female suspect into custody, she began to actively resist, thrashing her body, screaming, and locking her arms in an effort to prevent arrest. The suspect’s actions led to chaos erupting among the rest of the group resulting in flipped tables, screaming, and fighting with officers. The suspects refused to comply with officers’ commands to place their hands behind their back, with one suspect shoving and kicking officers, while another threw a table at officers. Two other suspects were placed under arrest without further incident.
Officers arrested the following individuals:
a 17-year-old female of Roslindale who is charged with Trespassing, Assault and Battery on a Police Officer, and Resisting Arrest.
a 15-year-old female of Malden who is charged with Trespassing, Assault and Battery on a Police Officer, and Resisting Arrest.
a 15-year-old female of Roxbury who is charged with Trespassing, Assault and Battery on a Police Officer, and Resisting Arrest.
a 14-year-old male of Dorchester who is charged with Trespassing.
A 15-year-old female of Dorchester who is charged with Trespassing.
All suspects are expected to be arraigned in Roxbury District Court.
