BPD Community Alert: Person of Interest Sought in Connection with South End Shooting 

On Sunday, March 15, 2026, at approximately 7:45 p.m., officers assigned to District D-4 (Back Bay/South End) responded to a radio call reporting a person shot in the area of Washington Street and East Berkeley Street in Boston.

Upon arrival, officers located the victim suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Boston EMS responded to the scene and transported the victim to a local hospital. The victim was later reported to be in serious but stable condition.

Officers established a crime scene along Washington Street between Traveler Street and East Berkeley Street. Detectives responded to photograph and process the scene.

Surveillance footage from the area captured a person of interest fleeing the scene. The individual was observed discarding a jacket and hat on the street before entering a nearby construction site, where the person put on a construction vest and walked away.
