Investigation Update: On Wednesday, March 18, 2026, Boston Police Homicide Detectives lodged a warrant against a 16-year-old male juvenile of Needham in relation a homicide in the area of 1855 Washington Street in Roxbury. The suspect is charged with Murder, Aggravated Assault, and Unlawful Possession of a firearm. The suspect is currently in custody on unrelated firearms charges and is expected to be arraigned in Boston Juvenile Court at a later date.
The facts and circumstances of the initial incident are as follows:
At about 1:07 PM on Monday, October 13, 2025, officers assigned to District D-4 (South End) responded to a radio call for a person shot in the area of 1855 Washington Street in Roxbury.
Upon arrival, officers located an adult female suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. The victim was transported to a local hospital, where she was later pronounced deceased. The victim has since been identified as 61-year-old Marie Molea-Anthony of Boston.
