On Tuesday, March 10, 2026, members of the Youth Violence Strike Force arrested a 17-year-old juvenile male on various firearm offenses.
About 8:47 PM, an individual was seen walking from the Jackson Square train station holding his phone in his left hand, and pinning his right arm to his waist area. Officers recognized the male from previous interactions, and exited their cruiser to speak with him.
While officers approached the suspect, he placed his phone in his pocket, and placed both of his hands in front of his waistband. Officers stopped the suspect and conducted a pat frisk. A firearm was recovered from his waistband, which was determined to be a .40 caliber Ruger with one round in the chamber and nine rounds in the magazine.
The 17-year-old juvenile male was placed under arrest and is expected to be arraigned in Boston Juvenile Court for the following charges:
- Delinquent to wit; Carry a firearm without a license
- Delinquent to wit; Possession of ammunition without an LTC
- Delinquent to wit; Possession of a loaded firearm
