BPD in the Community: BPD Cadets Continue Assisting at the No Books, No Ball Basketball Program

Boston Police Cadets have been gaining Community Policing experience through the No Books, No Ball Basketball Program at the Orchard Gardens School.

Cadets have been taking part on Saturday mornings to help ensure the safety of participants crossing the busy intersection of Melnea Cass Blvd and Albany Street.

Despite this winter’s freezing temperatures, they directed traffic and helped keep everyone safe on their way to the gym. Inside, they cheered on the athletes and encouraged teamwork on the court.

No Books No Ball is a great program, and we thank our Cadets for showing up for the youngest members of the Community we serve!
