The District C-6 Community Service Office has been busy supporting youth basketball initiatives with youth from the South Boston Community.
During February school vacation, BPD brought local youth to compete in a 3-on-3 tournament at the Martin Pino Community Center in East Boston. The teams represented their community well as the 11U team brought home first-place, and the 16U team earned second-place.
C-6 also participated in the Black History Month Tournament at the Condon Community Center in South Boston, fielding a team that secured a first-place finish.
Finally, District C-6 sponsored the Gate of Heaven CYO 7th/8th grade boys basketball team this season. The team finished with a strong 10-4 record, won their first-round playoff game, and are now advancing to the semifinals!
