Members of the BPD Command Staff, along with officers from District E-13 and the Bureau of Community Engagement, partnered with the Boys & Girls Club of Boston to host a week-long Youth Police Initiative (YPI) in Jamaica Plain.
Throughout the week, officers and youth took part in open and honest conversations and participated in team-building activities designed to build trust, strengthen relationships, and break down barriers.
Programs like YPI build understanding between officers and youth, and are a great example of what community policing is all about!
