Over 200 Grams of Drugs Recovered Following Search Warrants in Mattapan

On Tuesday, January 27, 2026, officers assigned to the Drug Control Units of District C-6 (South Boston), B-3 (Mattapan), E-13 (Jamaica Plain), and the DEA, arrested Michael Browne, 58, of Brookline, on drug trafficking offenses.

The target of the investigation was seen operating a motor vehicle and a traffic stop was conducted on Capen Street. Officers advised the suspect that they were armed with multiple search warrants. A search of his person and vehicle revealed 19 grams of Crack Cocaine, and approximately $1,960 in U.S. currency was also recovered.

Officers then executed a search warrant at 157 Delhi Street, Mattapan. As a result of the search warrant, officers located and recovered 80 grams of Fentanyl, 130 grams of Crack Cocaine, 165 Suboxone Strips, three vials of liquid methadone, digital scales, and drug manufacturing material.

Browne was placed under arrest and is expected to be arraigned in Dorchester District Court for the following charges:

–          Trafficking of Class A

–          Trafficking of Class B
