About 8:49 PM, on February 7, 2026, officers assigned to District B-3 (Mattapan) responded to the area of 95 River Street for a report of a person stabbed. Boston Police Operations provided a description of the suspect, and his direction of flight.
Upon arrival, officers observed an individual matching the description walking towards them. Police ordered the suspect to show his hands which he refused. Officers were able to deescalate the situation and safely placed the suspect into handcuffs.
The victim was transported by Boston EMS to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Hakeem Jackson, 29, of Boston, was placed under arrest and is expected to be arraigned in Dorchester District Court for Armed Assault to Murder.
