In Memoriam: The Boston Police Department mourns the passing of active-duty School Traffic Supervisor Augusto S. Polanco, on Thursday, January 15, 2026.
Mr. Polanco was appointed as a School Traffic Supervisor for the Boston Police Department on March 20, 2000. He was assigned to the Bureau of Field Services/District E-13 and served children and families in the Jamaica Plain community by assisting them on their travels to school and ensuring their safety. Mr. Polanco was highly regarded by those he worked with and was a dedicated employee throughout his years of service.
