At approximately 8:36 PM on Monday, January 5, 2025, officers assigned to District B-2 responded to a radio call for a report of a person shot at 95 Brook Avenue in Dorchester.
Upon arrival, officers located a 40-year-old male victim suffering from a non-life-threatening gunshot wound. The victim was transported by Boston EMS to a local hospital for treatment.
Information obtained at the scene indicated that the suspect fled in a motor vehicle, which was later involved in a motor vehicle accident at the intersection of Folsom Street and Harlow Street. Officers responded to that location and located the suspect’s vehicle. The suspect had fled on foot prior to officers’ arrival.
Detectives assigned to District B-2 responded to 95 Brook Avenue to further investigate. Over the next 48 hours, detectives conducted an extensive investigation which resulted in the issuance of an arrest warrant for 45-year-old Tyrone Williams of Manchester, New Hampshire, for multiple offenses.
At approximately 10:00 AM on Friday, January 9, 2026, officers and detectives assigned to the Youth Violence Strike Force executed the on-site warrant arrest of Williams at 15 Sargent Street in Dorchester. Williams was located at that address and placed under arrest without incident. He is expected to be arraigned in Roxbury District Court on the following charges:
- Assault and battery, attempt with firearm
- Assault with a dangerous weapon
- Assault and battery, attempt with firearm (second count)
- Firearm, carry without license, second offense
- Firearm without license, carrying loaded
- Firearm within 500 feet of a dwelling
- Ammunition, possession without FID card
- Unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle
- Leaving the scene of property damage
- Firearm violation with one prior violent or drug crime conviction
