On Tuesday, January 6, 2026, officers and detectives assigned to District A-1 (Downtown) arrested Brenton Maughn-Tulloch, 39, of Brooklyn, New York, for commercial breaking and entering.
An investigation was conducted in the area of West Street with officers setting up surveillance. While watching the area, officers observed a suspect exiting the locked front door of 41 West Street. The suspect was then seen walking towards Washington Street. Multiple officers converged on the location, and stopped him. The suspect was placed into handcuffs, and a search incident to arrest was conducted, in which officers recovered a laptop belonging to a company in the building.
Maughn-Tulloch, was placed under arrest and is expected to be arraigned in Boston Municipal Court for the following charges:
– Two Counts of Breaking and Entering into a Building, Nighttime, for a Felony
– Possession of a Burglarious Instrument
– Larceny from a Building
