On Wednesday, December 31, 2025, members of the Youth Violence Strike Force arrested Angel DeLeon, 18, of Brighton, on various firearm offenses.
About 8:35 PM, officers were conducting a directed patrol on Centre Street, Jamaica Plain. Officers approached an individual, and observed his right arm to be pinned to his body while his left arm was moving freely. The suspect continued to walk away from officers while pinning his right hand closer to his waistband.
After further investigation, officers stopped the individual and conducted a pat frisk. A firearm was recovered from the suspect’s waistband. The firearm was determined to have a P80 Slide and a Glock frame with one round in the chamber and sixteen rounds in the magazine.
DeLeon was placed under arrest and is expected to be arraigned in Roxbury District Court for the following charges:
– Carrying a Firearm without a License
– Carrying a Loaded Firearm without a License
– Possession of a Large Capacity Firearm
– Possession of Ammunition without an FID card
– Trespassing
