On Saturday, December 27, 2025, officers assigned to District B-2 (Roxbury) arrested Phillip Anderson, 45, of Roxbury, on multiple firearm related charges.
About 10:20 PM, officers responded to a radio call for a person with a gun in the area of 25 Fountain Street. While officers were enroute, dispatch provided information that two males were fighting and one male pulled out a firearm. Boston Police Operations broadcasted a suspect description as well as a direction of flight towards Dabney Street.
Officers responding to the area turned onto Dabney Street and observed the suspect running towards the homes on the right side of the street. The male was then seen congregating with a group of individuals in front of 80 Dabney Street.
As officers approached the group, they immediately attempted to gain control of the suspect. A violent struggle ensued as the suspect attempted to evade arrest and flee into the building. The group began to pull officers away from the suspect to prevent them from effecting the arrest.
During the struggle, the suspect was seen reaching towards a firearm inside the front pocket of his hooded sweatshirt. With the assistance of responding officers, the suspect was handcuffed and a firearm was recovered.
District Detectives processed the firearm and determined it to be a Glock 30 S with an obliterated serial number. The firearm was loaded with one round in the chamber and seven rounds in the magazine.
Anderson was placed under arrest and is expected to be arraigned in Roxbury District Court for the following charges:
– Carrying a Loaded Firearm without a License, Fourth Offense
– Carrying a Firearm without a License, Fourth Offense

– Defacement of a Firearm Serial Number
