BPD in the Community: District A-1 Reminds Neighbors to Secure Packages During Holiday Season

Officers from District A-1 have been out in the community this holiday season helping neighbors keep their packages safe during one of the busiest times of the year.

Our officers spent time knocking on doors, assisting residents with deliveries, and sharing reminders about package security.

As holiday shopping continues, we keeps these tips in mind to help protect your packages and purchases:

– If you’re expecting a delivery, try to be home when it arrives or ask a trusted neighbor to grab it for you.
– Don’t leave packages outside for long, secure them as soon as possible.
– Doorbell cameras or security systems can help monitor deliveries.
– Always track your packages and report any missing items to the shipping company right away.
– When shopping in stores, keep wallets and purses secure and avoid leaving valuables visible in your car.
– Buying or selling items? Use a Boston Police Safe Exchange Zone at any district station.
– See something suspicious? Don’t hesitate to call, we’re here to help.
