On Saturday evening, November 29, 2025, at approximately 8:30 p.m., officers assigned to District B-2 responded to a call in the area of Columbia Road and Quincy Street in Dorchester. During the initial response, officers determined that a vehicle had been taken and the incident was under investigation.
The victim was assisted by responding officers, advised of available resources, and transported from the scene. A canvass of the surrounding area was conducted, but the vehicle was not immediately located.
On Sunday, November 30, 2025, additional information was provided to officers indicating the incident involved an armed carjacking. Investigators learned the vehicle was taken after the victim was directed to stop at a location in Dorchester, where multiple suspects were involved, including at least one individual armed with a firearm.
District B-2 detectives initiated a comprehensive investigation, reviewing surveillance footage from residential buildings, private security systems, and City of Boston cameras. Video evidence showed the victim’s vehicle arriving at the Indigo Block Apartments on East Cottage Street. Shortly after, suspects were observed leaving the vehicle area, and a third individual approached on foot and drove the vehicle from the location.
Additional footage tracked the stolen vehicle traveling through Dorchester before it was parked near Abbotsford Street. Surveillance later showed multiple suspects entering a nearby apartment building carrying items believed to have been taken from the vehicle.
On Friday, December 5, 2025, investigators located the stolen vehicle parked and unoccupied outside a residence on Abbotsford Street. The vehicle was towed to Boston Police Headquarters, where it was processed by the Crime Scene Response Unit.
On Tuesday, December 16, 2025, officers assigned to the Youth Violence Strike Force, the Special Operations Unit, and members of the Massachusetts State Police executed arrest warrants related to the armed carjacking investigation. As a result, Leireker Deleon, 18, of Roxbury, and Aamir Sylvia, 19, of Dorchester, were placed under arrest. Atiana Suazo, 20, of Dorchester, was also identified as a suspect and was subsequently arrested.
All three are charged in connection with a joint-venture armed carjacking that occurred on November 29, 2025, in Dorchester. They are expected to be arraigned in Roxbury District Court for the following charges:
Atiana Suazo is charged with Armed Carjacking Firearm, Possession of a Firearm Without a License, Assault With a Dangerous Weapon, Receiving a Stolen Motor Vehicle, Larceny Over $1,200, Threat to Commit a Crime, and Conspiracy.
Leireker Deleon is charged with Armed Carjacking Firearm, Possession of a Firearm Without a License, Assault and Battery With a Dangerous Weapon, Receiving a Stolen Motor Vehicle, Larceny Over $1,200, and Conspiracy.
Aamir Sylvia is charged with Armed Carjacking Firearm, Threat to Commit a Crime, and Conspiracy.
During the investigation, officers seized multiple items, including a Canik 9mm semi-automatic pistol, a Glock 21 Gen 4 .45 caliber pistol equipped with an automatic conversion device, an FN 10mm pistol, and a Bushmaster XM-15 .223/556 AR 15 Rifle Pistol recovered in two pieces. Investigators also recovered a firearm conversion device, a firearm-mounted flashlight, multiple high-capacity rifle magazines, multiple handgun magazines, and ammunition including 5.56mm, .45 caliber, 10mm, .40 caliber, and .38 caliber cartridges.
Additional items seized include a large quantity of marijuana, suspected crack cocaine, fentanyl, suspected crystal methamphetamine, suspected powder cocaine, suspect clothing believed to be connected to the incident, personal documents belonging to the suspects, property believed to have been stolen from the victim, and U.S. currency.
