This year’s Shop with a Cop event marked the 17th year of spreading holiday cheer, building trust, and strengthening bonds with the young people we proudly serve. Thanks to the Boston Police Foundation’s COP (Community Opportunities Program) Fund and our incredible partners at Target, it was truly a night to remember.
Led by Commissioner Cox, Members of the Command Staff, Officers, volunteers, and first responder partners, more than 350 children ages 5–12 from across Boston were paired with officers and first responders to pick out gifts from their holiday wish lists.
This annual tradition is all about creating joy and meaningful moments for families who could use extra support during the holiday season. Seeing the smiles, excitement, and laughter from these kids is a powerful reminder of what the holidays – and community – are all about.
