Holiday and Package Delivery Safety Tips from the Boston Police Department

🎁 Holiday Safety Tips from the Boston Police Department 🎁

In an effort to make this holiday season the safest it can be, we’ve created a list of holiday safety tips for you and your family.

Listen to these tips from our Officers in this video or take a peak in the text below:

Expecting a delivery? Be home when it arrives, or ask a trusted neighbor to secure it for you. Consider using secure options like delivery lockers or scheduled drop-offs.

✅ Don’t leave packages outside for long. The longer they’re out, the more time thieves have to notice them.

✅ A doorbell camera or security system can help you keep an eye on deliveries and notify you when packages arrive.

✅ Always track your deliveries, and report any lost or stolen packages to the shipping company immediately.

🛍️ Shopping in stores? Keep wallets and purses secure, and avoid leaving valuables in plain sight in your car.

📍 Buying, selling, or exchanging items? Use a Boston Police Safe Exchange Zone at any of our District Stations. These monitored locations are a safe place to meet.

🚨 Notice suspicious activity in your neighborhood? Don’t hesitate to call us. We’re here to help ensure everyone has a safe and joyful holiday.

From all of us at the Boston Police Department, Happy Holidays!
