About 7:23 PM, on Wednesday, November 26, 2025, officers assigned to District A-7 (East Boston) responded to the area of 131 Orleans Street for a report of a person with a knife. Boston Police Operations provided officers with a description of the suspect, and that he was holding a knife.
Upon arrival, officers immediately located the suspect, and recovered a knife from inside his right jean pocket. While on scene, officers were approached by two victims who stated that as they were walking their dog down the street, the suspect approached them and scraped a knife on the sidewalk. Both victims fled the area, but the suspect continued to follow them.
Moments later, officers were advised of another victim who stated that the suspect swung the knife and attempted to stab him. No reported injuries from either incident.
Deigo Bautista-Perez, 36, of East Boston, was placed under arrest and is expected to be arraigned in East Boston District Court for the following charges:
– Assault with a Dangerous Weapon
– Two counts of Disorderly Conduct
