About 3:19 PM, on Wednesday, November 26, 2025, officers assigned to District C-11 (Dorchester) responded to the area of 262 E 8th Street for a report of a possible armed robbery.
Boston Police Operations advised officers that a suspect was seen entering the Bodega with a bandana over his face while clutching his waistband.
Upon arrival, an officer observed the suspect walking outside of the store and attempted to speak with him. The suspect immediately sprinted from the officer and a foot pursuit ensued. The officer ordered the suspect to stop, but he refused and continued to avoid arrest.
After multiple orders, the suspect was seen entering a backyard on Knowlton Street. The officer continued verbal commands to stop resisting and he was able to place the suspect into handcuffs.
Further investigation revealed that the suspect had a warrant out of Boston Municipal Court for Armed Robbery, Assault and Battery, and Assault and Battery with a Dangerous Weapon. The suspect also had a second warrant issued out of Suffolk Superior Court for Trafficking of Cocaine, and Possession of Class A.
Officers conducted a search incident to arrest, and recovered 68 grams of Fentanyl, 29 grams of Crystal Meth, 5 grams of Crack Cocaine, and a scale with white powder residue on it. Officers also recovered $1,124 in U.S. currency.
Dempsey Allen, 28, of Milford, was placed under arrest and is expected to be arraigned in South Boston District Court for the following charges:
– Trafficking of Fentanyl Over 36 Grams, Less Than 100 Grams
– Possession to Distribute Class B
– Possession to Distribute Class B, Subsequent Offense
– Trafficking of Methamphetamine Over 18 Grams, Less than 36 Grams
– Prohibition Against Possession
– Furnish False ID Information to Law Enforcement
– Trespass
– Resist Arrest
