At about 6:39 PM, on Thursday, November 13, 2025, members of the Youth Violence Strike Force were on patrol in the area of West Newton Street when they observed a group of individuals smoking marijuana near the playground.
Two officers exited the cruiser to speak with the group who then took off in a full sprint. Two officers still inside the cruiser were able to follow one of the suspects. The officers activated their cruiser’s lights and sirens to signal the suspect to stop which he refused.
The officers exited the cruiser and a foot pursuit ensued into an alley behind 5 Aguadilla Street. The suspect was quickly stopped, and the officers felt a firearm magazine inside the suspect’s waistband. A magazine containing thirty rounds was recovered from inside a jacket pocket.
Kymari Bullard-Howard, 18, of Boston, was placed under arrest and is expected to be arraigned in Boston Municipal Court for the following offenses:
– Unlawful Possession of Ammunition
– Possession of a Large Capacity Feeding Device
