B-3 Officers Arrest Two Suspects, Recover Two Firearms Following Dorchester Traffic Stop

On Tuesday, November 11, 2025, officers assigned District B-3 (Mattapan) arrested two individuals early Tuesday morning on multiple firearm-related charges. The suspects have been identified as Zion Ford, 18, of Boston, and Jamori Freeman, 21, of West Roxbury.

At approximately 12:42 a.m., a Sergeant on patrol in the area of Blue Hill Avenue and Pasadena Road observed a vehicle with a defective brake light. The Sergeant activated his marked cruiser’s emergency lights and siren to initiate a traffic stop.

With the assistance of responding officers, police made contact with the vehicle’s occupants. During the interaction, officers observed the rear passenger appearing to hunch over, prompting further investigation. Officers subsequently issued an exit order for all occupants and conducted a pat frisk.

During the frisk, officers recovered two firearms from inside the vehicle. Both suspects were immediately placed in handcuffs, and District Detectives were called to the scene.

The first firearm was identified as a Smith & Wesson SD9 VE, loaded with one round in the chamber and seven rounds in the magazine, which has a capacity of sixteen rounds. Detectives noted that the firearm’s serial number had been scratched in an apparent attempt to deface it.

The second firearm was a Deterrence Dispensed Civilized Defense CDD 17.2 with an attached light. It was loaded with one round in the chamber and ten rounds in a sixteen-round-capacity magazine. Detectives also noted that this firearm lacked a serial number.

Both suspects were placed under arrest and are expected to be arraigned in Dorchester District Court for the following charges:

Zion Ford:

  • Carrying a Firearm without a License
  • Possession of a Firearm without an FID card
  • Carrying a Loaded Firearm without a License
  • Possession of a Large Capacity Firearm

Jamori Freeman:
