On Sunday morning, October 26, 2025, Boston Police officers from District D-4 (South End) arrested 54-year-old Brian Lewis of Boston in connection with an armed robbery.
At approximately 9:23 a.m., officers responded to a report of a larceny in progress at 231 Massachusetts Avenue. According to Boston Police Operations, the suspect had threatened store employees with pepper spray before fleeing toward Clearway Street.
Responding officers quickly located a man matching the suspect’s description walking near Belvedere Street. Lewis was taken into custody without incident, and a canister of pepper spray was recovered during a search following his arrest.
Brian Lewis is expected to be arraigned in Roxbury District Court on charges of Armed Robbery.
