South Boston Officers Arrest Armed Suspect Following a Stabbing Incident

About 5:17 PM, on Tuesday, October 21, 2025, officers assigned to District C-6 (South Boston) responded to the area of 8 Allstate Road for a report of a person stabbed. Boston Police Operations provided officers with a description of the suspect, and that he had stabbed an adult female with a box cutter.

Upon arrival, a detective immediately observed the suspect, who was also holding a box cutter in his left hand. The detective ordered the suspect to drop the weapon, which he refused. The suspect began to swing the weapon and advanced towards the detective.

The detective continued to order and give verbal commands to the suspect to drop the weapon. The suspect immediately complied, and with the assistance of responding officers, the suspect was taken into custody.

The victim was transported by Boston EMS to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The suspect, Christopher Baez, 36, of Wakefield, was placed under arrest and is expected to be arraigned in South Boston District Court for the following charges:

  • Assault and Battery
