BPD in the Community: Boston Police Officers Takes Polar Plunge for Special Olympics

Officers from Districts B-2 (Roxbury), B-3 (Mattapan), C-6 (South Boston), and C-11 (Dorchester), along with recruits from our current Boston Police Academy Class 66-25, braved chilly waters in the Seaport for the Special Olympics Polar Plunge!

Officers joined in the great cause plunging into cold water (some in full uniform) all in support of Special Olympics which promotes inclusion, awareness, and unity through sports.

The event built camaraderie among officers and recruits, as well as the incredible athletes of the Special Olympics.

A huge thank you to Special Olympics for hosting this meaningful event and for the continued partnership with our officers across the city.
