BPD Community Alert: Detectives assigned to the Fire Investigation Unit are seeking the public’s assistance to identify a person of interest involved in Arson incidents that occurred at 2:30 PM, on Monday, September 22, 2025. The suspect was seen lighting several trash barrels on fire in the Boston Commons and on the Commonwealth Avenue Mall.
The Boston Police Department is actively reviewing the facts and circumstances surrounding this incident. Anyone with information is strongly urged to contact the Fire Investigation Unit at (617) 343-2202.
