On Friday, September 19, 2025, at approximately 1:16 PM, members of the District C-6 (South Boston) Drug Control Unit, assisted by the Citywide Drug Control Unit and the FBI Metro Boston Gang Task Force, executed an arrest warrant for 25-year-old Jose Mendes Rodrigues of Dorchester.
The warrant was issued earlier that day out of Roxbury District Court for Distribution of Class B Crack Cocaine. At the same time, officers executed a search warrant for the body of Mendes Rodrigues.
During the operation, officers observed Mendes Rodrigues operating a motor vehicle and uniformed officers initiated a motor vehicle stop in the area of Georgia Street and Hartwell Street in Roxbury. Mendes Rodrigues was placed under arrest pursuant to the warrant and transported for booking.
During booking at the Nashua Street Jail, officers recovered a plastic bag containing narcotics concealed on the suspect’s person. The bag contained approximately 33 grams of crack cocaine, packaged into 31 smaller bags.
Jose Mendes Rodrigues is expected to be arraigned in Roxbury District Court for the charge of Distribution of Class B Drugs (Crack Cocaine).
