Officers from the District D-4 and the Bureau of Community Engagement, along with Copper the BPD Comfort Dog, spent time with youth at the Hattie B. Cooper Community Center Day Care Program, which serves greater Roxbury.
The kids enjoyed hugs and pats with Copper, along with ice cream courtesy of the BPD Ice Cream Truck. In true Copper fashion, she even tried to sneak behind the counter to help “serve” up some ice cream – getting laughs from the crowd!
Thank you to the Boston Police Foundation’s COP Fund and HP Hood for their continued partnership, allowing us to make events like this happen!
