Man Arrested After Road Rage Stabbing in Back Bay

About 10:36 PM on Tuesday, September 2, 2025, officers from District D-4 (South End) responded to a report of a stabbing near 10 Huntington Avenue.

Upon arrival, officers found an adult male victim seated inside a vehicle, suffering from multiple stab wounds. Officers provided first aid until Boston EMS arrived and transported the victim to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

According to initial reports, the victim and a passenger were delivering food to an address on Beacon Street, when they parked in front of another vehicle. The driver of that vehicle, later identified as the suspect, moved his car and beeped his horn. In response, the victim drove around the block, but the suspect followed and attempted to strike their vehicle.

When both cars stopped at a red light, the suspect exited his vehicle and approached the victim’s car. A confrontation occurred outside the vehicle, during which the victim was stabbed multiple times. The suspect then fled the scene, and the victim stopped at 10 Huntington Avenue.

A description of the suspect and his vehicle was broadcast to surrounding areas. Massachusetts State Police located the vehicle on I-93 Southbound near the Freeport Street ramp and conducted a traffic stop.

The suspect, 45-year-old Byron Alexander of Randolph, was taken into custody and is expected to be arraigned in Boston Municipal Court on charges of Assault and Battery with a Dangerous Weapon.
