Roxbury Officers Arrested 17-Year-Old After an Armed Robbery

On Thursday, August 21, 2025, officers assigned to District B-2 (Roxbury) arrested a 17-year-old Juvenile Male, with a firearm following an armed robbery.

About 4:34 PM, officers responded to the area of 46 Zeigler Street for a report of a person with a gun. Boston Police Operations provided officers with a description of the suspects, and they were located in the rear yard of 12 Bethune Way.

As officers approached the suspects, one individual began clutching his waistband and jumped over a fence. A foot pursuit ensued and the suspect was stopped in a parking lot near Harrison Avenue.

Officers began canvassing the area for any discarded weapons when a second 911 call reported a person with a gun at 105 Ziegler Street. The individual was seen reaching into his backpack and was ordered to stop. He complied, and a firearm was recovered from the front pocket of his hooded sweatshirt. The weapon was identified as a SCCY CPX-2 with one round in the chamber.

Further investigation revealed that this individual was actually the victim of the initial robbery. A 17-year-old male suspect had attempted to rob him at gunpoint, but the victim managed to disarm the suspect during the incident.
