Firearms Recovered, Suspect Arrested Following Joint FBI and BPD Investigation in Hyde Park

On Thursday, August 7, 2025, members of the FBI Metro Boston Gang Task Force, in collaboration with the Boston Police Department’s District E-5 (West Roxbury) Drug Control Unit, arrested 29-year-old Kenneth Bigby-Williams on multiple firearm-related charges. The arrest followed a lengthy and thorough investigation, during which investigators obtained search warrants for both Bigby-Williams and his residence located at 142 Margaretta Drive in Hyde Park.

At approximately 5:55 AM, investigators conducting surveillance observed Bigby-Williams exit 142 Margaretta Drive and proceed toward the rear of 58-92 Margaretta Drive in the direction of Georgetown Drive. As members of the FBI and BPD approached and identified themselves, they gave verbal commands for Bigby-Williams to show his hands. He immediately fled on foot while clutching his waistband.

Following a brief foot pursuit, Bigby-Williams was apprehended by officers. A loaded firearm was recovered from his waistband, and the search warrant for his person was executed, resulting in the recovery of the following items:

  • Black Ruger 5.7 firearm (loaded, holstered)
  • Ammunition: 10 live rounds of 5.7 x 28mm
  • Black Ruger 20-round magazine

Investigators then returned to 142 Margaretta Drive, where they knocked and announced their presence multiple times. After receiving no immediate response, investigators opened the unlocked front door and located people in the residence. The individuals were given verbal commands to exit, which they eventually complied with.
