Downtown Officers Arrested a Breaking and Entering Suspect

On Thursday, July 24, 2025, officers assigned to District A-1 (Downtown) arrested Jason Archie, 53, of Boston, for breaking and entering.

About 10:55 PM, officers responded to the area of 190 High Street for a report of a breaking and entering in progress. Upon arrival, officers observed the front glass door to be shattered, and the cash register was emptied. District Detectives processed the scene, and a photo of the suspect was disseminated to officers.

Officers recognized the suspect from a previous incident, and were aware he frequented the area of North Station and Nashua Street. Officers patrolled the area and observed a group of six individuals in an alley. The suspect was seen sitting on a milk crate and trying to shield his face.

The suspect was requested to identify himself, which he complied. After supplying officers with the requested information, he began to walk away. Officers requested the suspect to stop, and remove his hands from his pockets. The suspect refused officers’ orders and he was quickly placed into handcuffs. While in handcuffs, the suspect attempted to kick an officer multiple times.

After further investigation, it was determined that the suspect was involved in the breaking and entering. He was placed under arrest and is expected to be arraigned in Boston Municipal Court for the following charges:

–          Breaking and Entering Nighttime for Felony

–          Larceny from a Building

–          Break into a Depository

–          Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (Shod Foot)
