On Friday, July 18, 2025, officers assigned to District C-11 (Dorchester) arrested James Wheeler, 36, of New Bedford. At about 2:00 PM, officers stopped the suspect outside of 545 Freeport Street, and determined that the suspect had multiple outstanding warrants for his arrest.
Wheeler was placed under arrest and is expected to be arraigned in Dorchester District Court for various charges from multiple warrants to include Larceny over $1,200, Breaking and Entering, and Receiving Stolen Property.
