At approximately 10:52 PM on Thursday, June 26, 2025, officers responded to a report of an armed robbery at Cristian Convenience Store, located at 411 Blue Hill Avenue in Roxbury. Upon arrival and during the course of the investigation, officers learned that two unidentified suspects entered the store and carried out a brazen armed robbery.

The first suspect entered the store and proceeded behind the counter while brandishing a black firearm, which he pointed at a store employee. The second suspect followed closely behind, jumped over the counter, and removed cash from the register. In addition to the cash, the second suspect also stole the victim’s wallet and cellphone. Both suspects then fled the scene on foot, heading down Devon Street toward Warren Street.

Suspect descriptions are as follows:

  • Suspect 1: Light-skinned Black male, thin build, wearing a black mask, black bubble jacket, black pants with tears, and white sneakers.
  • Suspect 2: Light-skinned Black male, thin build, wearing a black hoodie, black sweatpants, and white sneakers with red trim.

Following an extensive investigation involving both traditional investigative methods and electronic technology, Boston Police Detectives identified 21-year-old Anthony Echavarria-Ramirez of Methuen, MA, as Suspect 1. Further investigation also linked Echavarria-Ramirez and Suspect 2 to a separate armed robbery incident earlier on the same day involving a food delivery driver. In that case, the suspects allegedly stole the victim’s moped scooter at gunpoint near 75 Humboldt Avenue.

On Tuesday, July 8, 2025, at approximately 9:22 AM, officers assigned to the Youth Violence Strike Force, in collaboration with the Massachusetts State Police Gang Unit, executed an arrest warrant and located Echavarria-Ramirez at an apartment on Bloomfield Street in Dorchester.
