Dorchester Woman Arrested Following Early Morning Stabbing in Mattapan

On Tuesday, July 1, 2025, officers assigned to District B-3 (Mattapan) arrested 32-year-old Kimberly Murray-Moore of Dorchester in connection with a stabbing that occurred earlier that morning.

At approximately 5:40 AM, officers responded to a report of a person stabbed in the area of Morton Street and Blue Hill Avenue in Dorchester. Responding officers located an adult female victim near the B-3 station on Rhodes Street, suffering from an apparent stab wound. Boston EMS provided medical assistance and transported the victim to a local hospital for treatment of injuries that were later determined to be non-life-threatening.

A preliminary investigation revealed that the victim had been waiting at a nearby bus stop when she was approached and assaulted by an unknown individual. The suspect fled the area in the direction of Morton Street and Blue Hill Avenue.

Based on the description provided, officers located the suspect, identified as Kimberly Murray-Moore, at a gas station near the intersection of Morton Street and Blue Hill Avenue. When officers arrived, she attempted to crouch behind a vehicle in an effort to avoid detection but was quickly taken into custody.

During the arrest, Murray-Moore actively resisted and assaulted two officers by striking one in the chest and the other in the face. Neither officer sustained injuries.

Murray-Moore was transported to District D-4, where she initially refused to be processed. She will be arraigned in Dorchester District Court on the following charges:

  • Assault and Battery with a Dangerous Weapon
  • Assault and Battery on a Police Officer
  • Resisting Arrest
  • Warrant for Assault with a Dangerous Weapon issued by Dorchester District Court on June 23, 2025, stemming from a separate incident
