Firearm Recovered After a Subject Stop in Dorchester

On Friday, June 27, 2025, officers assigned to District B-3 (Mattapan) arrested Tyrone Moore, 31, of Hyde Park, and Jordan Priest, 18, of Roslindale, on firearm offenses and warrants.

At 5:30 PM, officers were patrolling the area of Greendale Street when they observed three individuals standing on the sidewalk. Officers were aware that one of the individuals had two active warrants for his arrest.

Officers exited their cruiser and immediately placed the suspect into handcuffs. Their attention was now drawn to the other two individuals who were standing on the steps of 54 Greendale Street. The officers asked the individuals if they lived there which, one replied and stated he would show them.

The individual entered the apartment, with officers following behind him up the stairs. The suspect turned around, and immediately began to run from officers in an attempt to flee. As the suspect was running, his left pocket appeared to be weighed down.

The suspect was stopped on the third-floor landing, and officers conducted a pat frisk. A firearm was recovered from the suspect’s jacket pocket. District B-3 Detectives were then requested to respond to the scene to process the evidence. The firearm was then determined to be a Revolver which was loaded with six rounds.

Moore was placed under arrest and is expected to be arraigned in Dorchester District Court for the following offenses:

–          Possession of a Firearm Without an FID Card

–          Carrying a Loaded Firearm Without a License

–          Possession of a Firearm Without an FID Card

–          Defacement of a Firearm Serial Number

–          Carrying a Firearm Without a License, 3rd Offense

–          Firearm Violation with Two Prior Violent/Drug Crimes

Priest was placed under arrest for two warrants out of Plymouth District Court for Firearm Violations. He is expected to be arraigned in Dorchester District Court.
