Officers from District E-18 and the BPD Bike Unit rolled into the Roosevelt School in Hyde Park for their Bike Safety Day!
Students learned key safety tips like the importance of wearing a helmet—and how to wear it properly—before putting their skills to the test with some hands-on riding practice. Some even got a little help as they ditched their training wheels!
Officers tried out some of the kids bikes (laughing emoji) and the kids tried the officers’ bikes on for size as well—sirens and all!
Thanks to the Roosevelt School for inviting us to be part of such a fun and educational event. Stay safe and ride smart this summer!
