Captain Michael Hegarty and officers from District E-5 welcomed first-graders from Holy Name Parish School for a fun-filled sunflower planting event at the district/neighborhood station!
Each student received their own planting bucket, added soil, and carefully planted sunflower seeds with help from our officers. The morning wrapped up with some creative coloring, decorating sunflower pictures to take home.
It was a wonderful way to brighten the day and grow connections with some of the youngest members of our community!
