Investigation Update: Second Suspect Arrested Following Firearm Incident

Second Investigation Update: At about 6:50 AM, on Wednesday, June 11, 2025, members of the Youth Violence Strike Force and officers assigned to District B-3 (Mattapan) arrested a 16-year-old Juvenile Male, in the area of 8 Theodore Street. At the time of his arrest, the suspect was wanted to on a warrant issued out of Juvenile Court for Delinquent to wit; Carrying a Firearm Without a License, Delinquent to wit; Carrying a Loaded Firearm Without a License, Delinquent to wit; Possession of a Large Capacity Feeding Device, and Delinquent to wit; Possession of Ammunition without an FID Card. He is expected to be arraigned in Juvenile Court.

Investigation Update: At about 6:19 AM, on Thursday, June 5, 2025, members of the Youth Violence Strike Force, and officers assigned to District B-3 (Mattapan) arrested Durrell White, 18, of West Roxbury, in the area of 1235 VFW Parkway. At the time of his arrest, the suspect was wanted on a warrant issued out of Dorchester District Court for Unlawful Possession of a Firearm, Unlawful Possession of Ammunition, and Carrying a Loaded Firearm Without a License. He is expected to be arraigned in West Roxbury District Court.

The facts and circumstances surrounding the prior incident are as follows: At about 5:00 PM, on Sunday, May 18, 2025, officers were conducting a directed patrol of Harambee Park. Officers were aware that a firearm arrest was made an hour prior which heighted their awareness. Officers immediately took notice of an individual adjusting an unknown object located in his mid-section. A second individual was seen conducting these same actions.

The group began to depart the park, and the two individuals now continuously looked over their shoulders at officers. One of the individuals separated from the group and proceeded to the rear of 240 Westview Street. The individual was seen sprinting from the area while holding an unknown object in his waistband. As officers were chasing the suspect, they observed the second individual now run on Stratton Street towards Lucerne Street.

Both suspects were able to evade arrest, and officers began to canvass the area for any discarded weapons. A firearm was recovered in the area of 51 Floyd Street and a second firearm was recovered at 90 Ames Way. The firearms were determined to be a Glock firearm 9mm with nine rounds in the magazine capable of holding ten total rounds. The second firearm was a Glock 45 with fifteen rounds in the magazine, and an obliterated serial number. The incident is under investigation by B-3 Detectives.
