Arrest Made Following Stabbing Incident at Massachusetts General Hospital

On Thursday, May 29, 2025, Officers assigned to District A-1 (Downtown) arrested 56-year-old John Huddleston of Boston in connection with a stabbing that occurred at Massachusetts General Hospital, located at 90 Blossom Street.

At approximately 8:32 AM, Officers responded to a radio call for a person with a knife. While en route, the call was upgraded to a report of a stabbing, and Officers were provided with a suspect description.

Upon arrival, Officers located and apprehended the suspect, later identified as Huddleston. Additional responding units entered the hospital and located an adult male victim receiving treatment for non-life-threatening stab wounds. A crime scene was identified in the hospital’s lobby vestibule.

John Huddleston was taken into custody and is expected to be arraigned in Boston Municipal Court on the following charges:

  • Mayhem
  • Assault and Battery with a Dangerous Weapon
