BPD in the Community: Bureau of Community Engagement Continues Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month Reading Series at Sumner School

As we celebrate Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) Heritage Month, BPD officers from the Bureau of Community Engagement visited kindergarteners at the Sumner School in Roslindale as part of our AAPI reading series.

Officers shared a story that celebrated diversity and sparked great questions from the students. The visit also gave officers a chance to talk about their own backgrounds and what it’s like to be a police officer in the City of Boston.

Special thanks to Mayor Wu’s Office of Early Childhood and the Lingzi Foundation for their partnership in making this meaningful series possible!
