About 9:47 PM on Saturday, May 24, 2025, officers assigned to District B-3 (Mattapan) responded to the area of 38 Franklin Hill Avenue, Dorchester, for a shot spotter activation. Upon arrival, officers observed two victims suffering from gunshot wounds. The victims were transported to local hospitals with life threatening injuries. One victim, an adult male, was pronounced deceased at the hospital, the second victim remains in critical condition.
