At about 3:00 PM, on Tuesday, May 20, 2025, officers assigned to District A-1 (Downtown) responded to the area of 59 Fleet Street for a report of a fight in progress.
Upon arrival, officers observed two males fighting in the middle of the street. The individuals were quickly separated and an investigation began into what transpired. Officers were advised by one of the individuals that the other male suspect entered a residence and stole approximately $1,000 worth of sneakers.
The victim followed the suspect and was able to locate him attempting to hide between two vehicles in the area of North Street and Fleet Street. The sneakers were recovered and successfully returned to the rightful owner.
Marquez Pierce, 42, of Boston, was placed under arrest and is expected to be arraigned in Boston Municipal Court for Breaking and Entering into a Building in the Daytime for a Felony.
