BPD in the Community: The Boston Police Continues Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month Reading Series at Joyce Kilmer School

As we celebrate Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) Heritage Month, our BPD officers visited kindergarteners at the Joyce Kilmer School in West Roxbury to continue our AAPI reading series.

During the visit, officers read a story that highlighted AAPI heritage, sparking thoughtful questions from students. It was an opportunity to share stories about each other’s background, including what it’s like to be a police officer.

Special thanks to the Mayor’s Office of Early Childhood Education, Boston Public Schools, and the Lingzi Foundation for helping to make this happen!
