

The Boston Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance in identifying a suspect involved in an indecent assault and battery that occurred on the night of Wednesday, May 14, 2025, inside a residence in the area of Margaret Street in the North End.
At approximately 10:53 PM, the victim was entering her home when she was approached from behind by an unknown black male, wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, who then committed an indecent assault and battery and then fled from the building on foot.
Sexual Assault Unit Detectives are actively investigating this incident. Anyone with information is urged to contact Detectives at (617) 343-4400.
As a general reminder, community members are encouraged to remain aware of their surroundings, avoid distractions such as phones or headphones when walking alone at night, and report any suspicious activity to 911.
