On Wednesday, May 14, 2025, officers assigned to District B-2 (Roxbury) arrested a 17-year-old Juvenile Male, on firearm charges after a loud party call.
At about 9:17 PM, officers responded to the area of 39 Mount Pleasant Avenue for a report of a loud party. Upon arrival, officers could see approximately fifty people blocking the street and had placed a large orange cone in the middle of the road.
Members of the group immediately took notice of officers’ presence and began walking towards 45 Mount Pleasant. Officers exited their cruiser and approached the group, which one individual immediately fled in a full sprint.
The individual was not being followed by officers, and their attention was immediately drawn to a second individual. This particular person was wearing an all black sweatshirt and sweatpants, while the rest of the group was wearing short sleeve shirts and shorts.
While approaching the group, the individual attempted to separate himself and stopped in the crosswalk to look where officers were located. An officer immediately stopped the suspect and observed a large bulge protruding from the suspect’s front sweatshirt pocket/waistband area.
As the officer attempted to conduct a pat frisk, the suspect immediately swatted the officer’s hands and attempted to flee. The suspect was quickly apprehended, and with the assistance of responding officers, a firearm was recovered from the suspect’s sweatshirt.
The firearm was determined to be a Glock 45 with a one round in the chamber and sixteen rounds in a high-capacity magazine.
The 17-year-old Juvenile Male was placed under arrest and is expected to be arraigned in Boston Juvenile Court for the following offenses:
– Delinquent to wit; Carrying a Firearm Without a License
– Delinquent to wit; Carrying a Loaded Firearm Without a License
– Delinquent to wit; Possession of Ammunition Without an FID Card
– Delinquent to wit; Possession of a Large Capacity Firearm
– Assault and Battery on a Police Officer
– Resist Arrest
At about 12:41 AM, on Thursday, May 15, officers were on scene from an earlier loud party call in the area of 45 Mount Pleasant Avenue. Units from across the city were requested to respond to assist with dispersing the crowd.
While on scene, officers could hear numerous individuals shouting to each other that officers were in the area. At this time, two individuals took off in a full sprint, but were holding the front of their waistbands.
The two individuals attempted to hide in an alley that was marked with several posted “No Trespassing” signs. Officers were quickly able to place both suspects into handcuffs and immediately observed a firearm on the ground. As officers were clearing the alley, they recovered a second firearm from where the suspects were standing.
Detectives were requested to respond and process the scene. The first firearm was a Ghost Gun with one round in the chamber and thirteen rounds in a magazine capable of holding seventeen rounds. The second recovered firearm was a Taurus GC3 with one round in the chamber and seven rounds in a magazine that was capable of holding ten total rounds.
Both suspects were placed under arrest and expected to be arraigned in Boston Juvenile Court for the following charges:
– Delinquent to wit; Carrying a Firearm Without a License
– Delinquent to wit; Carrying a Loaded Firearm Without a License
– Delinquent to wit; Possession of Ammunition Without an FID Card
– Delinquent to wit; Possession of a Large Capacity Firearm
– Delinquent to wit; Trespassing
