On Wednesday, May 7, 2025, officers assigned to District B-3 (Mattapan) arrested Samuel Milton, 34, of Waltham, following a traffic stop that led to the recovery of illegal drugs.
At about 2:26 AM, officers were patrolling the area of Blue Hill Avenue and Columbia Road when they observed a motor vehicle operating at a speed greater than reasonable. Officers quickly conducted an inquiry of the vehicle’s registration which revealed that the owner of the vehicle had a warrant for his arrest.
A traffic stop was initiated, and officers made contact with the operator of the vehicle. Officers immediately recognized the front seat passenger as the vehicle’s owner. Officers requested the passenger to exit the vehicle, and placed him into handcuffs.
Units conducted a motor vehicle inventory search of the vehicle as it was being towed and recovered one plastic bag containing four separate plastic bags. The drugs were weighed and determined to be a total weight of twenty-two grams of cocaine.
Milton was placed under arrest is expected to be arraigned in Dorchester District Court for the following charges:
– Trafficking of Cocaine 18 Grams or More, less than 36 Grams
– Possession with Intent to Distribute Class B
– Possession of Class B
The suspect was also wanted on an outstanding warrant out of Dorchester District Court for two Counts of Assault and Battery with a Dangerous Weapon.
