At about 12:49 AM, on Friday, May 2, 2025, officers assigned to District B-3 (Mattapan) arrested a 15-Year-Old Juvenile Male, on firearm charges.
Police responded to a report of two masked individuals pulling on apartment doors in the vicinity of 466 River Street. Upon arrival, the suspects were seen exiting the rear of the apartment building.
When the suspects were ordered to stop, one suspect clutched his left arm to his body and fled. A foot pursuit ensued and the suspects was apprehended as he attempted to scale a fence overlooking a 20-foot drop. During the struggle, the suspect tried to escape, but he was safely restrained, preventing a potentially serious fall.
While being detained, the suspect removed an object from his waistband and threw it. The unknown object was later recovered and identified as a Smith & Wesson SD9 VE, equipped with a laser sight. It was loaded with one round in the chamber and a magazine containing seven rounds, with a total capacity of sixteen.
The 15-Year-Old Juvenile male was placed under arrest and is expected to be arraigned in Dorchester District Court for the following charges:
– Delinquent to wit; Carry a Firearm Without a License
– Delinquent to wit; Carry a Loaded Firearm Without License
– Delinquent to wit; Possess Large Capacity Firearm
– Delinquent to wit; Possession of Ammunition Without an FID Card
– Delinquent to wit; Possession of a Large Capacity Feeding Device
– Delinquent to wit; Resisting Arrest
– Delinquent to wit; Trespassing
