At about 3:00 PM, on Saturday, May 3, 2025, officers assigned to the Drug Control Unit of District C-11 (Dorchester) arrested a 17-Year-Old Juvenile Male, on drug trafficking charges.
The Drug Control Unit was patrolling the area of Gibson Street when they observed two individuals walking in the area from Dorchester Avenue. A third individual was seen on an electric scooter, and met up with the group in the area of 10 Gibson Street.
Two individuals were seen exchanging an unknown item, and then separate in opposite directions. One of the individuals was stopped and a plastic bag of fentanyl was recovered. The suspect was advised that he would be summonsed to court for Possession of Class A.
The suspect on the scooter fled the area at a high rate of speed towards Adams Street. After further investigation, the suspect was located in the area of 1580 Dorchester Avenue. The suspect was stopped and immediately began to resist. Multiple de-escalation tactics were used, however the suspect continued to resist officers’ orders. With the assistance from responding units, the suspect was secured.
After a search incident to lawful arrest, eight plastic bags of fentanyl were recovered and the plastic bag that was sold to the other suspect. The drugs were later weighed and determined to be approximately 17.7 grams of Fentanyl.
The 17-Year-Old Juvenile Male was placed under arrest and is expected to be arraigned in Dorchester District Court for the following charges:
– Delinquent to wit; Trafficking of Class A
– Delinquent to wit; Distribution of Class A
– Delinquent to wit; Assault and Battery on a Police Officer
– Delinquent to wit; Resisting Arrest
