Officers from the District C-6 (South Boston) Community Service Office hosted their annual Touch a Truck event at the South Bay Mall, where local families had the opportunity to get a closer look at public safety vehicles and meet with first responders.
Attendees were able to explore Boston Police vehicles, a Boston Fire truck, Massachusetts State Police vehicles, and Suffolk County Sheriffs vehicles, all while officers shared information about their work and answered questions.
It was a productive afternoon focused on connection and giving kids and families a better understanding of the tools and equipment used to help keep our city safe.
